Before entering service, graduating police cadets and students participating in law enforcement training attend corruption prevention training conducted by staff from the National Protective Service (hereinafter: NPS).
In July 2025, another ten months of police patrol training courses were completed, prompting the NPS to once again visit the educational institutions where such training courses are held.
The aim of anti-corruption training is to raise awareness among graduating police cadets of the responsibilities associated with their profession and to reinforce their commitment to integrity, transparency, and legality.
During the training sessions, cadets learned about the concept of corruption, its various forms, how to recognize it, and possible ways to prevent it through practical examples, film analyses, and role-playing exercises. Police ethics and maintaining the trust of civil society were also given special emphasis.
In the current training block, 210 graduates of the Miskolc and Körmend Law Enforcement Technical College and the Police Education and Training Center Police Academy Patrol Training Department (Szeged, Adyliget) participated in the 10-month police patrol training program (public order protection, border control), with a total of 210 participants.
It is important to emphasize that fighting corruption is not a matter of complying with rules and regulations, but also requires deep internal commitment. This dedication is one of the cornerstones of the police profession. Training courses of this kind help newly qualified police patrol staff to begin their service well prepared, both professionally and morally, to protect their communities and maintain their trust.
