On 24 March 2026, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development published its report Anti-Corruption and Integrity Outlook 2026, which examines the national integrity systems of 62 countries.
Representing Hungary, the National Protective Service (NVSZ), which provides the national delegate, also participated in the OECD Global Anti-Corruption & Integrity Forum (GACIF) event held in Paris on 24–25 March 2026 within the framework of Integrity Week, as well as in the subsequent Public Integrity and Anti-Corruption (PIAC) Working Party meeting held on 27 March 2026.
In 2026, the National Protective Service continued its integrity-development programme designed for students participating in dual training programme. The training was implemented on 18 February 2026 with the involvement of professionals from the corruption prevention field, in cooperation with the Csongrád-Csanád County Police Headquarters. This year’s event brought together students enrolled in the current academic year’s dual training programme, supporting both their professional and personal development.
The anti-corruption prevention experts of the National Protective Service were invited to organise a professional conference entitled “Integrity and Value-Based Decision-Making at the Mátészalka District Education Centre.” The event, held on 12–13 February 2026, was attended by the entire senior management of the district education centre, school principals, as well as government officials working within the district.
Engaging the younger generation is crucial in building the future integrity-driven public service. In this spirit, the National Protective Service organized the "United for Integrity – International Anti-Corruption and Integrity Challenge" for the second time on December 9, 2025.
The Corruption Prevention Department of the National Protective Service held a professional event entitled III. Integrity Café on 19 November 2025. Delegates of the organisations that signed the Joint Declaration on Cooperation in the Fight against Corruption participated in the event.
Organised by the National Protective Service, the nationwide competition for students of Hungarian law enforcement educational institutions was held for the second time on 9 October 2025 in Balatonlelle, Hungary. Participants included students from the Faculty of Law Enforcement of the University of Public Service, the Law Enforcement Schools of Körmend and Miskolc, as well as the Adyliget and Szeged Patrol Training Divisions of the Police Training and Education Centre.
The Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the National Protective Service and her colleague participated in the IACA (International Anti-Corruption Academy) Second Expert Meeting held in Laxenburg, 27-29 August 2025, where a research methodology for measuring the effectiveness of Anti-Corruption Agencies (ACAs) was developed. The meeting was attended by 58 experts from 39 countries.
Before entering service, graduating police cadets and students participating in law enforcement training attend corruption prevention training conducted by staff from the National Protective Service (hereinafter: NPS).
The professional day for integrity advisors organised by the National Protective Service's Corruption Prevention Department on 9 July 2025 reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to ethical conduct and the prevention of corruption. The aim of the event was to provide up-to-date professional support to integrity advisors who play a key role in preserving and improving the integrity of public institutions.
