The National Protective Service and the Public Procurement Authority are committed to using all means to prevent corruption. To strengthen this, they have worked together in recent years to implement a number of strategic anti-corruption objectives.
On 10 April 2025, a conference was jointly organised to address the current National Anti-Corruption Strategy's challenge of reducing one-off public procurement and increasing competition in the market. The aim of the event was to promote the activity of professional chamber members in pre-market consultations. In addition to the professional chambers, the event was attended by the Authority's cooperating partners, members of the Public Procurement Council and representatives of the major contracting authorities. Following the presentations, panel discussions were held with stakeholders from the health, construction and investment, financial and insurance services sectors to share their sector-specific experiences of pre-market consultations, the benefits of pre-market consultations and how chambers could promote the legal instrument among their members.
In the second half of this year, discussions between the professional chambers will continue.
