As part of the corruption prevention programme and the Open Government Partnership (OGP), Hungary launched an ambitious integrity training programme for senior managers, managers and staff working in public administration in September 2013, which had nearly six thousand participants until the end of December.

With a view to enabling citizens to learn about the content of the training and the requirements for government officials, Hungary undertook in the framework of the Open Government Partnership to organise open integrity training sessions for government officials in major towns from January 2014, in which any citizen may participate, as an observer, after preliminary registration, in order to learn about and evaluate this new in-service training method introduced to disseminate a culture of integrity.

The first two-and-a-half-day open integrity management training took place successfully in Budapest on 29 January 2014. Moreover, three subsequent one-day open training sessions were held in Budapest on 6, 12 and 17 February 2014.

In the immediate future, open training sessions will be available on 25 February 2014 at the CEU Conference Centre (1106 Budapest, Kerepesi út 87.) in Budapest and also in March in other towns across the country. Participation in the event is free, but preliminary registration is necessary (STgJ2Tca29ycnVwY2lvbWVnZWxvemVzQGtpbS5nb3YuaHU=).
The staff of the National University of Public Service and the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice will welcome all interested participants at the events.
